A street artist paints his perfect muse to life—but when a seductive kingmaker offers her fame, she must choose between being someone’s masterpiece and becoming her own woman.

WAKING BEAUTY is a bold, dreamlike new musical about art, celebrity, and the radical act of becoming your own person.
In a forgotten subway station, a passionate street artist named TAGGER creates a vision of perfection: BEAUTY, a living muse who steps out of his painting and into the pulsing, unpredictable world beyond it. Their shared wonder soon collides with BRYAN, a charismatic kingmaker who sees not a person, but a star waiting to be packaged, marketed, and consumed.
As BEAUTY is pulled between TAGGER’s idealization and BRYAN’s machinery of fame, she discovers that freedom cannot be given by the man who creates her—or the man who sells her. Told through kinetic dance, pop-rock theatricality, surreal projection, and a world where paintings awaken and fame becomes a nightmare fashion show, WAKING BEAUTY asks: Who gets to define beauty—and who gets to own it?
At its heart, this is BEAUTY’s awakening: not into someone else’s dream, but into her own voice.
